The day was a very big success, with a total of $830 being raised for the Land 2 Live program, which will be used to purchase 83 Square Meters of land. A big thank you to everyone that helped out cooking the BBQ, the people serving and to the people that came to support us and also to Brumbys in Croydon, who gave us a very good price on the bread for the day. We gave our over 400 flyers, which we then saw people reading. The flyers we gave out explained about the Agape Home. We then had people come back to donate more money. It was getting towards the end of the day, and one of the Bunnings staff walked past, so we were able to tempt him into buying a sausage. One of the kids that were helping us out offered to carry his things to his car, just so that he could eat his sausage. It just so happened, that he was parked right up at the back and around the corner, so when they finally got to the car, he pulled out all the change he had and gave it to the kid, as a donation to Kids 2 Kids, and then as he was driving away, he donated another $20!
